The sad part is it's a symptom

I mean it's now a cause as well but if it wasn't windows some other assmonkey piece of crap would have come out and we'd be using that instead. Truth is Windows is a symptom of a culture that places first to market over quality, Flashy advertising over substance. Truth is we're in this mess because we refuse to pay a little bit of fucking attention. We refuse to evaluate the alternative products we just go with the one that we've heard of. Worse than that is we refuse to learn from our mistakes. EVERYONE complains about windows. The people who like it complain about it. Why can't we learn? If everyone complains about it maybe it really is a crappy product and we need to pick a new one. For all you who are thinking every OS sucks, maybe if more of us chose an alternative someone would bother developing a product that didn't suck. Maybe linux will turn out to be our savior after all. Not because it's all that great of a product but because more and more people are using it. And that puts the pressure on redmond. And with pressure comes determination and innovation. Problem is Redmond has FAT wads of cash so they're attacking linux with advertising, buyouts, and frivolous lawsuits instead of features and stability. Another rant I know, but it leaked out. You see I have this hole.
